Tandoori Restaurant in Ludwigsburg

Ordered from Tandoori for the first time because we wanted real Indian food and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, the spices, the heat (normal, but a bit hot) was exactly to our taste. The lamb was excellent. We will definitely order again and hope to be able to eat there one day. It's good that the restaurant delivers, but also offers pickup. Absolutely recommendable! Support you local restaurant!

Delicious food if you like strong seasonings

Unfortunately I don't find the quality of the food SO in Karlsruhe. Absolutely great! The midweek buffet can't be beat in terms of price / performance and I really hope that this restaurant will survive the crisis, because I'll be the first guest when it opens next!

I would rather give it 10 stars. The food is always excellent. No matter which dish I ate here, it was always an absolute pleasure and hours later I can still smell the wonderful smell of the spices.

We have had several dishes delivered and everything was really delicious. Meat always very tender and the sauces tasty, vegetables always to the point. There are also lots of delicious options for vegetarians. Delivery service fast and friendly. The only thing you have to be careful about as a normal is the degree of spiciness. "Spicy" is really spicy. "Very hot" probably only for the Indians ;-)

Food came without an ordered Mango Lassi. Unfortunately only noticed about 10 minutes later. Called again later. It was said that the driver will come again. Did not come. The food itself tastes ok. But for the price I would have expected more. There are cheaper ones with the same quality. Addendum: Came about 20 minutes later after all.

With delivery! Order via the homepage, payment by PayPal, everything is completely uncomplicated. Delivery within one hour approx. Very tasty and well seasoned, very decent portions, very good meat (with the lamb) if you choose slightly hot you have a European heat, not too much but not too little either. Very friendly delivery driver.

We were thrilled before Corona, now we have had you delivered to us a few times (Markgröningen). We weren't disappointed. Friendly and uncomplicated service. The food, whether meat or vegetarian, is aromatic, tasty and easy to enjoy.

The ambience of the restaurant is inconspicuous, thank God not as obtrusive pseudo-Indian as with others. The service was friendly and quick, the waiting times (we were a group of 7) were okay given that the place was quite full. A star rating comes from the part so far. For the food: unfortunately only one. I had papadum in the first place, it was good in terms of its crispness and taste, but with a total weight of maybe 20g on the 2 slices it was too little for the 2.20 €. But then the mixed grill plate with Tandoori Chicken, Lamb Tikka, Chicken Tikka, Fish Tikka, King Prawn and Seekh Kebab: every piece was cooked to death, totally dry and tough. Everything tasted identical, apparently the same seasoning mixture was always used. Too bad.

I have visited the restaurant two times and here is my experience 1st time: I visited with a group of friends without reservation, we were asked to wait outside the hotel (ok sure. corona time). We wait outside. we see a table getting free(finally). Next to us comes a group of non Indians (they were speaking to us had no reservation too). Staff comes and welcomes them inside. What ?? Questioned them and he said they had reservation. lies and disappointment :( . Not the best way to treat people from your own country. 2nd time: Walked in with reservation with a friend, was sitting on a table of our choice. Just before placing the order staff walks up to us and asks to switch the table. I inquire the reason. The staff reply was epic, there are 6 guests and they want to sit there and we are just 2 so we should move. I pointed out at the empty table right next to us where he could easily accommodate them. The hotel was literally empty with plenty of free tables. He did not care and justified with the same reason 2 people vs 6. So we left. Very arrogant and rude Staff who really don't care about customers (especially if you are a small group or you are Indian ;) ) . will never visit again.

Here we like to go to the lunch buffet and have already had food from the menu delivered to us at home. We always liked it.

Best restaurant in city!

Were with a larger group to eat on the terrace of the restaurant. The ambience is very oriental and inviting and the service was able to give us good recommendations so that we could make a perfect choice. The food came relatively quickly and was freshly prepared. Overall, it was a successful evening in the Tandoori restaurant. Recommendable!

As always, very good. We just had lunch there for two. If you really want to eat authentic Indian food, you should definitely come here. By the way, through my job I often deal with Indians and they were always very enthusiastic about the food. The boss is also a nice person and remembers regular guests and before you know it there is a ChaiTee for dessert as a little treat. Oh what can you say, inconspicuous but warm and genuine. Always happy to go there :)

Lovely and friendly team and amazing food

I wouldn't want to assign even a single star to this restuarant. It's a shame to call it an Indian restaurant with such a poor service. Extremely arrogant staff. We ordered dinner and I am pregnant and was extremely hungry. My husband confirmed twice if everything we ordered is included since we ordered over telephone and my husband went to pick up the order. While waiting to collect the order, he saw that the staff had messed up another home delivery and hence he wanted to confirm if ours is alright. We were told everything is there but when we came home and checked there was no bread. We called and said this and the lady who answered the phone especially, extremely arrogant said that it cannot be delivered and that the money will be compensated for next time's order. Will tandoori accept if i say that I will pay 4€ the next time we visit you? We need to value your money but u dont value what we pay you? And you have made a mistake learn to apologize and not speak with arrogance. I am not sure if this was the treatment because we are Indians. But utterly unacceptable and a thorough disgrace this restaurant is. Learn to treat your customers well.

Disgrace for Indian food.

This place does not serve AUTHENTIC Indian food. All the dishes were sweet. This is adapted for German taste. A big no for Indians and people who like spicy Indian food.

I ordered roti and Madras chicken(slightly spicy). They delivered me roti completely burnt with a big hole. Madras chicken was very spicy and too oily. They care about money and not the quality. I have to throw it because it is unhealthy. I called them and told them not to repeat. How could they deliver seeing it's burnt and oily ?

Enjoyed the Indian dishes. The Nan and and tandoori roti were excellent. The gravy dishes were flavourful. The service was unobtrusive, welcoming and quick. Would definitely visit again whenever craving for indian food.

Tandoori Birani was delicious,it was like what I ordered with hot species. If you want you can order also without hot species also. Service was not super fast but it was acceptable. They don’t any helles beer, when I asked they took pils without asking.

I vomitted after sometime. Three of my friends went to Tandoori for awesome dinner, and it turn out to be a nightmare . May be the other dishes are good, but don't take roti, chicken tikka masala, lamb curry, Dal dry and lamb biriyani. What else left to eat then ? 🤭😃

One of the very few good indian restaurants in Ludwigsburg. This is authentic north indian restaurant please dont go with the south indian taste of hope. It might disappoint you for sure.

Tandoori is a decent Indian restaurant for all occasions - northern Indian cuisine. Food is good compared to what could be found around Germany although it can be considered somewhat mild to some. Lunch buffet during weekdays is value for money too.
